Prayer: The spirit of excellence is the spirit of perfection. The spirit of excellence is God's spirit and excellence can be gotten from our daily interaction with him. The spirit of excellence can be found in the lives of several great men and women in the bible. An example of this can be found in the life of Daniel, excellence grew from his prayer life.
Doing common things extraordinarily: It is not what you do, but how you do what you do. We can cultivate the spirit of excellence by doing ordinary things in an extraordinary way.
Exposure: Exposure leaves you with various options. Traveling and meeting people who share the same beliefs, goals and ideas with you. Traveling is also a crucial part of education. There are places you visit and people that help to shape or form our views, visions and concepts.
Visual stimulation: Can have a powerful impact in one's life. As we watch films, read books, journal and magazines, they become instruments and stimulants that helps us in cultivating and attaining excellence. "The soul never thinks about a picture"-Aristotle.
Persistence: Marabel Morgan defines persistence "As the twin sister of excellence. One is a matter of quality, while the other is a matter of time"
"We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence then, is not an act, but a habit"- Aristotle.
Persistence therefore is insistence on getting it right and not wrong.
John F. Kennedy defines happiness as "The full use of your powers along lines of excellence".
Excellence therefore, is not the function of what you do, but how you do what you do.
